Irle White was raised in the Mission and Flathead valleys of northwest Montana, where both sets of his grandparents were early settlers. He now lives in Libby, where he pursues his hobbies: woodworking, fishing, model making, and writing. His stories have appeared in Montana Quarterly, High Country News, Montana Magazine, and numerous magazines catering to the sailing community. White is Professor of Theater Emeritus at Eastern Washington University.
