Jena Ponti is a self-taught artist originally from Spokane, Washington, now living in Whitefish, Montana. Jena has 13 years experience painting interior and exterior murals and has recently focused on canvas work. She strongly believes color is language. The interplay of vibrant color evolves through her immersion into the painting, and communicates story, expression and feeling as much as the content. Jena also welds metal sculpture out of salvaged industrial materials. She is a landscape architect with a primary focus on designing children’s outdoor play/ learning environments and bringing ‘nature’ back into these important places.
