Bruce Barton is a graduate of the San Francisco Art Institute, with advanced degrees from San Diego State and Pacific Western Universities, and independent studies in Paris, St-Paul de Vence, France and Florence, Italy. Among his past employers/clients are Northrop Grumman Corporation, for whom he served as Creative Director of the B-2 Stealth Bomber Project, and managed the design graphics for the Space Shuttles. His personal publications include The Tree at the Center of the World, about the traditions at work in the Franciscan Missions of California, and The Mission Event, a 90-minute PBS presentation of the roots of cultural pluralism in the Great Plains. He has exhibited regionally, nationally, and internationally.
